General Information

McAlpine was engaged, on a cost-plus contract, to complete this modern 350-seat theatre of unique design after the original contractor left the site with only part of the frame and walls built. Completion was achieved within nine months of being appointed.

Construction comprised an outer shell around a steel frame. The specialist lighting and control systems were manufactured to the architect’s specifications by the British company, Theatre Projects Limited.
